E3 was full of the sequels of our favorite games over the past few years, and there are also some new faces on the scene.

Right now is the best time to find all of the tip top games, publishers have to offer and throw them on you Christmas wish list with dark red underlines, and arrows pointing at only the games ones and whatever else you have to do to make sure everyone knows that you want these games more than anything else for Christmas.

Since the Christmas season is when people spend the most money on games, publishers are bringing out their shiniest show ponies to entice people to hand over hard earned cash for bragging rights, excellent gameplay, riveting stories, and multiplayer games to die for.

We at xboxcheatcodes.com are no strangers to this time of year and we are here to tell you what games are going to give you the biggest bang for your buck.

These are Xbox Cheaters top 10 picks for the best games to buy this Christmas.

Number 10

Call of Duty World at War

There is no doubt that if you like First Person Shooters and World War 2 then Call of Duty World at War is a slam dunk.  But Call of Duty goes further than that.  Even though everyone and their dog has made a World War 2 game going back as farther than Red Alert, Activision seems to pull off a nicely bi-polar aspect of this particular infamous World War.

As the allies smash the Nazis last ditch effort to take over the world you get to see the action from both the American side and the Russian side bouncing back and forth in a war-like battle of ping pong.  In addition all the great elements of multiplayer have been surgically graphed into the game seamlessly.

Activision has taken the wildly popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and flings you back into WWII, but rips out the conventional pages in this book of World War II games and how you play them.  New tactics and a gritty experience as you fight through the insane battles give gamers and their friends a different feeling from the typical World War II gaming experience.

That’s right co-op play is available in this game which gives you the feeling that you are cutting down the Nazis scourge with your friends instead of the semi-intelligent NPC’s you’ve played with before.  New weapons, concepts, viewpoints, and gameplay elements has brought us yet another epic battle of fun.

Number 9

Ninja Gaiden 2

The toughest game a new gamer will come across and hard for even the most skilled.  Within this hack and slash action game you find yourself taken back a little when you see there is breathtaking list of moves you can execute.  Beautiful colors and fluid fighting styles make up for the lack of an intuitive camera.

As Ryu Hyabusa finds that his village is destroyed yet again you get the opportunity to slice everything into tiny bits and then light them on fire.  With a weak storyline you are still going to find yourself excited and accomplished when you finish a level.

Number 8

Rock Band 2

If you are a fan of any guitar wielding, drum bashing, or off key singing you are going to have a rockin good time Rock Band 2.  There is nothing like getting together with your friends to Rock out all night!  Rock Band 2 is a great party game and even a great solo game giving you time to practice and blow your friends away with your wicked skills.

The gameplay is pretty straight forward.  If you have never played you simply listen to the music and respond by hitting the colored drums, strumming and pressing the colored buttons on the guitar or base, or sing along with the color coordinated directions.  Once you’ve got that down you can finally stop strumming your air guitar and play something a little more tangible.  With a huge list of your favorite songs the only time the songs end is when you get tired.

Number 7

Fable 2

Love it or hate it Fable 2 is one of the biggest games of 2008.  With all the things you can do in this game you are hard pressed to find anything else to ignore your girlfriend with.  Be anyone you want.  Moral choices at every turn that make you feel that the situation could have gone better, but oh well and random spawning battles that for the most part you can run away from if you aren’t in the mood to fight.  Fable 2 allows you become the baddie or goodie you always wanted to be.  That and your dog is pretty cool.

Fable 2 takes place in the city of Albion.  The story takes off pretty quick.  Your sister is shot, and soon after, you are shot, and sent hurling through a window.  Somehow you survive and your only goal is vengeance.  Whatever path you choose the story ends the same so go nuts!

Number 6

Left for Dead

Valve has done it again.  It is hard to find a game that Valve has made that gamers don’t like.  In this non stop intense zombie kill-fest pure gameplay wrapped with unpredictable events, and sprinkled with the taste of human flesh, Valve creates a gaming feast that gamers will come back and snack on again and again

Fight together or die alone.  This one sentence explains the majority of Left for Dead.  A strain of rabies has been spread through the human race and does not look good for the survivors.  Disfigured crazies are running around bent on killing or infecting anyone they get their hands on.  Oddly enough you are immune to the disease, but you are stuck in the middle of a city full of creatures that were once human. Now you have to fight your way out.  Grab a friend and start mowing down the teaming masses that want you dead.

Number 5

Dead Space

EA rocked E3 with their space horror survival game Dead Space.  Now that it is here gamers are beside themselves with excitement.  Even though it borrows elements from Metroid Prime and Resident Evil, Dead Space doesn’t loose its identity.  With antigravity elements, gun and suit modifications, and a new challenging concept of strategic dismemberment in order to take down the enemy we are dead set on buying Dead Space.

You play as Issac Clarke.  An engineer that as usual, is on a routine mission to fix a nominal problem on this planet cracking ship that harvests resources.  But when you arrive you find yourself knee deep in fear, death, and aliens.  Now the mission has changed to survive and get the hell out.

Number 4

Far Cry 2

Violent, explosive, haunting, and spectacular.  No this isn’t a MMO/horror survival game.  This is a First Person Shooter known as Far Cry 2.  A bit on the hardcore side, but anyone will feel the excitement as they play through this little gem created by Ubisoft.  Going far distances just to get your objective complete can be a little daunting or even annoying, but that is why it was built with an amazing engine.  At times you really do feel like you are lighting up a village to gain confidence with a certain faction.  Morally grey in all the right areas Far Cry 2 delivers on its promise of being a First Person Shooter with depth.

The main objective is to stop an arms dealer in Africa known as the Jackal.  Premise is simple right?  Well this open ended game forces you to gain report with factions, run missions, earn money, (being diamonds) stay on your toes using either cunning stealth or brute strength all the while living long enough to stop this conflict before you die from malaria.  Yes you have malaria.

Number 3

GTA IV

Arguably 2008’s most popular game skipping along with his friend Mr. Sandbox all the way through until you either give up, or win.  The many aspects of multiplayer, and highly entertaining things that can be done will make even the most jaded gamer appreciate the epic magnitude in a world you won’t want to leave.  This has made the gaming community take a second look at what sequels truly have to offer.

Enter in Niko Bellic and Eastern European immigrant fresh off the boat to visit his cousin.  As he begins working as a cab driver, it isn’t long before he finds himself in a tangled web of gangsters, guns, and a rich story that will keep you grinding through the toughest parts of the game.

Number 2

Fallout 3

Between the story, massive world and the detailed RPG elements you will be hard pressed to find another game worth the scratch you put down for Fallout 3.  The faults are nothing in comparison to the look and feel of this game.  Effortlessly combining almost all of your favorite gaming elements, any gamer is going to enjoy the hell out of Fallout 3.

It takes place in a post apocalyptic world in the year 2077.  The majority of the United States has been destroyed, but the survivors did their best to rebuild a new society.  You find out that your father has left the security brought to him by Vault and it is up to you to find him.  As you emerge out of your bomb shelter you find the world is very different than the one you are used to.  Fully equipped with Super Mutants, soldiers, and weapons all over the place it is your job to find your father and the truth.

Number 1

Gears of War 2

Gears of War 1 changed how we looked at First Person Shooters by introducing strategic fighting styles using any cover you can find, not to mention having a chainsaw at the end of your gun is the coolest thing you can put at the end of a gun.  Gears of War 2 took that and made it bigger, better and more bad ass…er.  Fans demanded more content and depth and Epic Games gave it to them.  Long story short…  Get this game and it will delight you long after all of the imitators try to out do it.

Building on the previous Gears of War, Gears of War 2 picks up right after Gears of War 1 ends.  When we last saw Marcus Fenix he had just escaped the bowels of the planet in time to save his skin and possibly mankind.  The only problem was that there was more Locust than they thought and they have a queen.  Now it is up to Marcus and his giant necked team to take down the entire Locus army one chainsaw gun at a time.
